About Laurie

Laurie is an avid reader and writer. Thanks to her lucky theatre career, she has worked with many A-list writers and lyricists; including Terrence McNally, Sam Shepard, Sir Tom Stoppard, Cameron Crowe, Stephen Schwartz, Richard Greenberg, Donald Margulies, Buck Henry, and John Logan; and she knows this is a privilege few get in a lifetime.  But nothing is as exciting as her recent partnership with her mom Roberta Goldfeder, a retired 4th grade teacher. They're co-writing a parenting book combining daily lessons from the rehearsal room and the classroom. It's for every parent out there who wonders, is anyone else's family like this?

Born & raised in St. Louis, MO. (Parkway North), she is a graduate of Emerson College with a BFA in Theatre Production & Management. She graduated early, moved to New York City and landed a job as a Stage Manager Intern at The Lincoln Center Institute. A few years later and after countless shifts at a restaurant and temp jobs at every office along 6th avenue, she finally became a full time Production Stage Manager for many off-broadway and regional productions.

Thanks to luck, good friends, and helpful connections, Laurie made it to Broadway. She has worked on 30 Broadway shows-and still counting. She has been incredibly lucky to have worked with wonderful stage & screen actors including Uma Thurman, Julianna Margulies, Roger Rees, Michael Emerson, Dana Ivey, Michael Potts, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Antonio Banderas, Jane Krakowski, Chita Rivera, Laura Benanti, Mary Stuart Masterson, Audra McDonald, Michael Shannon, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Josh Brolin, Elias Koteas, John C. Reilly, Sam Shepard, Bernadette Peters, Victor Garber, David Hyde Pierce, Bette Midler, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Billy Crudup, Linda Lavin, Sarah Paulson, Tony Roberts, Michele Lee, Carrie Mulligan, Bill Nighy, Ricky Martin, John Stamos, Jeremy Jordan, Mare Winningham, and hundreds more talented actors, dancers, singers and ensemble members.

When not working she can be found watching baseball, enjoying life with her family, organizing the closets (again) and binge watching cop shows and General Hospital.

Laurie is married with two teenagers in New Jersey who wish she'd stop talking about screen time limits.  She misses Brooklyn, her home for almost 20 years (before kids). And her VW Beetle Convertible (also before kids).
